Material relating to UK3 (Ariel 3) Satellite project ca.1963-1968 / compiled by F. Patrick Campbell and chiefly produced by British Aircraft Corporation. Comprises papers and articles, promotional material, papers re launch operations, photos, press cuttings, correspondence etc, and locations of other UK3 material. UK3, the first all-British satellite, was launched in 1967. It was renamed Ariel in orbit. The Museum has a 1/4 scale model of the satellite. 2 boxes. Listing available]

Two sets of Concorde adjustment shims: Set 1: Sealed plastic bag hand-marked with Part No. 66-003-138-00, contains 23 kraft paper envelopes, and a blue 'Equipment label' dated 26 JUN 1968 (red ink stamp), which bears the legend "Adjustment Shims". A small white piece of paper is also present beneath the blue label. Set 2: Open plastic bag containing 21 pairs of adjustment shims. Inside is a handwritten white label reading "1 Set" and Part No. 66-003-130-00, along with a blue 'Equipment label' dated 26 JUN 1968 (red ink stamp), bearing the legend "Adjustable Shims".
